After synchronized and thrilling backstage preparation, the lights went up, and the extraordinary Zolotas gowns took center stage at Bridal Fashion Week Athens 2024. Each design told a unique story, captivating the audience with its blend of Grecian craftsmanship and the bold design of VG Zolotas. This show was a defining moment for contemporary bridal fashion, setting a new standard in haute couture.

Timeless Elegance Meets Contemporary Boho-Chic Style

Organic fabrics, intricate vintage laces, and hand-knitted crochet came together with effortless elegance. Ethereal tulle met macramé, creating bridal designs that are both timeless and contemporary. Each gown is a masterpiece rooted in Grecian heritage, reimagined to define contemporary bridal couture and woven into the iconic boho-chic aesthetic of the house.

The Zolotas catwalk was captured by Mneme Photography, with creative direction by Michalis Pandos, makeup by the team of Freddy Kalobratso, and hairstyling by Diamantopoulos Studio and the talented team from Iek Delta 360. Every detail worked seamlessly to highlight the unique aesthetic and artistry of the handmade gowns.

You asked for it, so we made it happen… a formal-wear haute couture collection by VG Zolotas came to life, in the shades of black! Some of you might recognize this long-sleeved black dress from the Zolotas instagram stories. But this is its official debut to the world, portraying it in the center of Berlin.

We had been debating about the most fitting location to give you a hint of the Zolotas evening gown collection.

Germany is one of many countries, whose affiliate boutiques that embraced the “Hellenic Vintage” collection. With Berlin being a renowned city for culture and creativity, this was an easy call!

The Woman in Black: A Long-Sleeved Lace Gown in Motion

Intricate vintage lace combined with nude transparency creates a jaw-dropping look…  Alica Ioannou (a.k.a Mneme Photography) put this handmade dress into motion! She took an haute couture walk with the stunning Maria Siray, who became the woman in black!

We openly love a long-sleeved black dress, because of the luxury feeling it carries, and the way it highlights the intricate vintage bobbin laces which have become a trademark for Atelier Zolotas.

Apollonia Skirt: Sculpted Tulle with Memorable Flow

Talking about the amazing “Apollonia” haute couture skirt… To create it, an experienced seamstress has to spend hours sculpting eighty soft-tulle layers with a pair of sharp scissors. The flow effect is simply memorable.

Chios island keeps inspiring us to create new bohemian scenes, that will live up to your dreamiest expectations! Apart from nailing your bridal look… can you think of anything better than also focusing on the bridal gang (a.k.a bridesmaids), when it comes to their boho Zolotas dresses and styling?

Spontaneity is our thing (as well as handmade haute couture!). So, -a little heads up- there follows a guitar serenade and a beautiful group of bridesmaids! Atelier Zolotas dressed each one of them in the Hellenic Vintage collection, by VG Zolotas! After all, ever since its opening at the castle of Mesta, this is the best bridal boutique on the island!

The crochet leaves on nude transparency that make up the Semele wedding dress will most probably attract your attention, as well as the cotton fringe of the Artemisia wedding dress (boho vibes, anyone?), and the cool spirit of the crop top bridesmaids’ dresses that follow!
